Marine Discovery Tours

Sea Life Bay Cruise. Marine Discovery Tours provide narrated bay and ocean tours specializing in whales, oyster farming and sea and shore wildlife. A favorite season to look for sea life on the Oregon coast runs from March through October – a time when sea life is closest to shore and ocean conditions are at their best. Kayaking

Newport • Yaquina Bay • Beaver Creek

Ocean kayaking. The wildlife and scenery are sure to make for an adventure. Seabirds and sea lions are plentiful. Rentals available at Ossie’s Surf Shop.

Beaver Creek guided wetlands kayak tours. The seasonal two-hour trips launch at Ona Beach State Park, five miles south of South Beach. Beaver Creek winds through coastal wetland inhabited by a variety of wildlife.

Kayak tours are offered 7 miles south on Beaver Creek during July through the labor day weekend. Paddles, kayaks, and PFDs are provided, and our interpretive guides take guests on a peaceful 2.5-hour expedition up the pristine freshwater marsh. Please note: This year tours will begin at the Beaver Creek Welcome Center, 1 mile east of Ona Beach. For more information or to make a reservation,  call: (541) 563-6413 or visit the Beaver Creek Welcome Center. Reservations accepted starting June 1, please call between 10 AM – 4 PM.

  • Brian McEneny Woodcarving Gallery, Seal Rock
  • Earthworks Gallery and Botanical garden in Yachats. After a visit to the gallery, visit the botanical gardens and nature Preserve walk behind the gallery. It’s about a 20-minute walk around privately owned grounds.
